John Moll Retrospective May 2009 Exhibition

The Oxford Museum sponsored the first retropsective of John Moll's work, a comprehensive exhibit in Oxford, MD. It was based on many hours of primary research with members of the Moll family, many local friends and lenders of over 200 works, John's business partner for 17 years, and many items from the Moll family, including all of the books he illustrated, to their knowledge. All were on display.

The exhibition was open Fridays and Sundays from April 25 through May 31, 2009, a period that includes the 100th anniversary of Moll's birth. The location was the rectory of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, the Moll's church, in the small town of Oxford, MD, 9 miles west of Easton. The catalogue was an edition of 500.
