Collecting Delaware Books
Captain William E. Lowe, Jr., of Lewes, Delaware, died June 8, 2000 at age 65 after a brief illness. Bill Lowe was a great supporter of the Collecting Delaware Books newsletter, a dedicated lover of Delaware history, and an active supporter of local historical organizations at the highest levels. He will be missed by all who treasure our Delaware heritage and by all who knew this truly generous man.
Bill Lowe's list of achievements is lengthy. He is best know to Delaware book lovers as Chair of the Delaware Heritage Commission and past Chair of the Delaware humanities forum. See the Wilmington News Journal for June 10, 2000 for a list of his organizational, academic, and career accomplishments.
