Collecting Delaware Books
There will always be old Delaware books that we can not find but would like to see. Internet Archive is a great resource for viewing images of old books. And it is free.
Internet Archive boasts over 3 million old books in electronic form. It is a well-endowed nonprofit organization which you can read about. Books can be read on line or downloaded in a variety of formats. Most have been scanned by OCR (optical character recognition) so their texts are fully searchable. That also means that Web search engines can find small details. Most books can be read aloud electronically by visually impaired researchers. Here are a few books we have found.
A new CDB article describes this book. It can be read or downloaded from this Internet Archive page.
