Collecting Delaware Books
John W. Dickinson, wellknown friend of Delaware books, died at home in Smyrna on May 5, 2001. He was 74. John was both a knowledgeable collector and dealer and was founder of the Smyrna-Clayton Heritage Association's popular Delaware book auction. An obituary listing his many accomplishments as an educator, choir director, antique dealer and bookman was published in the Wilmington News-Journal for May 8, 2001, on page B4.
John was a gentle person who was liked by all. He will be missed.
