Kansas City, October 2000

We met in the heartland of America for Fountians of Love. We laughed, we cried, we talked incessantly. We strolled the beautiful Country Club Plaza. We ate, drank, remembered, clowned and hugged. A few of us went ice skating. All of us left with a lot of memories and warm feelings, and gratitude to Marilee and her crew who arranged this great gathering.

At the memorial service in the cancer memorial park across from the hotel, a lovely service, but far too many candles in the fountain.

Songs, verses and memories at the memorial service.

A great deal of, ah, versatility is displayed at the no-talent show.

Sharon Multhauf tells about the great new bc web site she and Lloyd designed.

Judy Neilsen, Hazelanne Lewis, Jane Reid and Susan Durst demonstrate their acting no-talent in a skit.

The Assets (or something rather like that) take us south of the border. Naomi, Carolyn, Harriet, Bobbie.

Bobbie Rivere (seconded by Art Miller) puts a group through their paces in her aerobics class with an attitude.

Sarah Webster, Harriet Kay and Maria Rose Brent (morningglory)

Bert Kiley, Barb Watson and Musa Mayer at the closing banquet

Jane gives Art an introduction to ice dance. Here we were actually doing the same step at the same time.

Jean Brugger, more comfortable on Rollerblades, tries out the ice. Jean also generously transported the skaters to a rink in Shawnee, Kansas -- and on the way back across the state border, one skater finally got to say the line: "I don't think we're in Kansas any more!"

Junebug had hoped to skate, but was felled by a flu bug. So Paula and John round out the skating party.
